60th Anniversary ♥

I have had an absolute blast with this session! These two were wonderful and fantastic sports even on such a hot day. One thing I like to ask couples who have been married for this long is ... What is the secret? You know what her answer was? "I guess you just sort of have to put up with each other." It is so unbelievably true! So, what I have learned over the past few years of asking this question is that marriage takes love, respect, compromise and just sort of putting up with each other. I just love that advice!

Changes and Special Offer!

Hey Everyone! There will be some big, new, wonderful changes to Kerrie Szabo Photography soon. New website... New blog... New products... and New prices. I am sure the one that everyone will care about most is the pricing changes.

In order for me to offer the best in prints, products and unique original portraits we will be raising our prices starting in July. It will not be a huge change so have no fear! Before all of this happens I want to give everyone the chance to lock in the old prices. If you book a date and pay your session fee before July 1st you will lock in the old prices. This was my third session with this little lady. She is always so much fun to take pictures of. I swear she looks absolutely adorable in every single one of them! We got a lot of variety in this shoot and thanks to an easy going mom actually got some of her splashing around in the water!

2010 Senior Portrait Representatives Needed!

It's that time again. I need some Senior Portrait Representatives! It is not nearly as hard as it sounds... I promise. I take a very limited number of Representatives each year and once the spots are filled I will not be accepting anymore Representatives for the 2010 school year.

What do you get? Well, you get two sessions. You must be available for a session a.s.a.p and then will get another one in the fall. Did I mention they are free? No? Well, they are free! You also get a custom designed senior portrait book and a few other goodies with pictures from your session on them.

What do you have to do? All you have to do is hand out Kerrie Szabo Photography information.... That's ALL! You must be willing to put some effort into handing out the information. You can hand it out at school, ball games or anywhere that 2010 Seniors are.

What am I looking for in a Representative? I am looking for someone who is willing to have some fun! Seniors who are not afraid to spray on the bug spray and head to the middle of a field. Seniors who are adventurous and up for shoots that may involve getting in water or any number of crazy things my brain thinks up! Senior Representatives need to be outgoing and willing to hand information to people other than immediate friends. I am also looking for someone who has not and will not have a session with any other senior portrait photographer during their senior year.

I ♥ Newborns!

Yep, I shoot newborns too! And I absolutely LOVE it! Every once in a while in the mixture of all the seniors I get my chance to do a newborn session. This little man didn't even make a #2 on any of my props! That is extremely rare. We started off a bit rough, but in the end all it takes is patience. Thanks so much for allowing me to take Mr. C's newborn pics guys!

- Newborn session are best if they are done within 10 days of the babies birth
- I like to come to you! It is just easier on everybody. You don't have to drag a newborn out of the house and you are where you are most comfortable and where your new baby is most comfortable.

I don't share a lot of personal experiences on this blog. I feel like everyone will just scream, "Shut up and show us some pics!". I have to say this though.... I have been struggling with trying to find some peace lately. Trying to get things in order and cut down on the chaos. I don't know if I am any closer to figuring things out than I was a month ago, but then I am reminded just how special life is by something as small as a picture. I am starting to realize that everyone may have their own individual feeling of peacefulness and I think mine comes in the form of little girls screaming, twirling, running and just being kids. These tiny little people are the reason I do everything that I do.

Fairy Party!

Hello Everyone! First of all let me say that I am SO glad to have gorgeous weather again! I am NOT a fan of cold. Now, on to the point of this post. I would like to see how many people would be interested in a Fairy Party Portrait Session. If there are enough people interested I will begin the planning process. Let me explain a little better.... A Fairy Party portrait session is a mini session lasting up to 30 minutes. I will supply all props and costumes. The costumes will be tutus, tutu dresses, pettiskirts, fairy wings, hair accessories, etc. You and your child will be able to pick which costume to wear. The sessions will take place in a very desired location (which happens to be on my farm) in Harrison. You will pre-purchase a package, but will be able to choose in an online gallery which photo you would like for the package and add additional images if you would like.
